AGree Co-Chair Dan Glickman to Deliver Opening Remarks at Washington Post Live's 2012 Food Security for the 21st Century Forum

AGree is proud to announce that Co-Chair Dan Glickman will be delivering opening remarks at Washington Post Live's 2012 Food Security for the 21st Century forum, alongside AGree Advisory Committee Member Robert Thompson, Visiting Scholar and Professorial Lecturer, SAIS, Johns Hopkins University. In addition, AGree Advisory Committee Member Johanna Nesseth Tuttle, Director, Global Food Security Project, Center for International and Strategic Studies, will be speaking on a panel discussion.

The event brings together key public figures and experts to discuss the production and distribution of healthy and affordable food in the U.S. and globally. With limited land and water and a burgeoning global population, the event will look at technological and other innovations increasing food production and examine the role richer countries are playing in feeding the poor.

As this discussion is so directly tied to the challenges AGree will address in the coming months and years, many of our Advisory Committee members and the broader AGree family will also be in attendance to participate in and help further the dialogue. And we encourage you to join the conversation!

AGree and many others will be tweeting about the conference using the official conference hashtag, #thinkfood. The conference also will be livestreamed on washingtonpostlive.com. Video and photo highlights will be posted after the fact on AGree’s website, foodandagpolicy.org.
